Dear Wilma & All:

I didn’t get a chance to write you before I left Rai but censorship is lifted now and I can write like I want to.

I left Rai last Sun. Sept. 2, on the USS Bougainville on aircraft carrier and we are due to arrive in Pearl Harbor in the morning. If we don’t stay there long and if the ship goes on to the states we should arrive in San Diego probably Sept. 16th or 17th. I’ll call you when I get there if I can and if I can’t I’ll send a telegram.

I’ve lost Neva’s address and I would like to see her while I’m waiting for my leave papers. So will you have her address handy by the telephone so I can get it when I call or telegraph.

I gave them your address at CASU co to forward my mail in to so if you will just hold on to it till I get there for me.

This is all the writing paper I have left so I won’t be able to write to Ethel, Mary or Lena but then you will be seeing them anyway I guess.

Is Claude still in the states or has he shipped out again?

Here’s hoping I see you soon.

Love
Elmer
