Dear Wilma & All:

I guess you’re beginning to wonder whats happened to me. I’ve really missed out on my letter writing the last couple of weeks. They’re keeping me sorta busy now for a change.

Hows is everybody back there. I guess summer is really there by now and it’s plenty hot. Have you had much vegetables out of your garden yet?

I answered Claude’s letter as soon as I got it and I sure hope he is still in the states when I get back.

Did Neva and her husband get there OK? And how are they? Boy I certainly will be glad to get back and see everybody again. It seems like I haven’t been home for years.

Is Dad still down home and how is he making out?

Things here are so usual with still no hopes of going home in sight. I doubt very much if I get home when I planned but then we never know one day what the next will bring.

I don’t know much to write about Wilma but I really enjoy your letters so don’t wait for me to write before you do.

Love
Elmer
