Dear Wilma & All:

I got your letter and Claudes this morn and I answered Claudes already so I guess I’ll have to make this one short or I won’t make chow.

Was the box in good shape when you got it? I imagine the clothes did smell a little musty. All I really value was the raincoat though I will probably be able to use them all when I get back. We don’t wear hardly anything here so you can see by the pictures I’ve sent.

I’m glad everybody is feeling better there now for a change. It seems like there has been a lot of sickness in the family the past year.

Things here are as usual. We still don’t know when we’ll get out of here but everybody hopes its real soon. I had a letter from Aline today and her sister is pretty sick and she’s rather worried.

How is Dad and is he still down home?

I have been pretty busy recently and haven’t done much writing. I wrote a letter to everybody I think and its been so long since I’ve wrote to Mary. I’m ashamed of myself. Tell her I’ll try to get one written before long.

I got to go. Write when you can and thank you for taking care of the box of clothes.

Love
Elmer
