Dear Wilma:
I got a letter from Aline today that she wrote after she got home and she said she got to see you in K.C. for a little while. So what do you think of her compared to Ruth? She said after two days travel she probably didn’t look too good. She also said you were by yourself. I sure wish she could have see Judith too.
I had a letter from Mary the other day and she sent me a small photo of Darlene and Leroy. Darlene was dressed up real nice and she was really cute. It looks like all my nieces and nephews are going to be pretty big by the time I get to see them again.
The film I was talking about in my last letter was Kodachrome, but since I have discovered they are too hard to develop so I hope you didn’t send any. We will have to do our own developing so the others will be the best.
I haven’t heard from you since I wrote and asked if you would do my Christmas shopping for me. I’m taking it for granted that you will though and I finally found out what Aline wants. A quilted bath robe or a silk crepe negligee. She wears a size thirteen. You probably could figure out what Mom wants better than I could and Dad too so I’ll leave that up to you.
I don’t have any idea what anything will cost especially a bath robe or a negligee, so I’m sending you a money order for seventy five dollars the first of the month. If you have enough left you can get her both or if you don’t have enough to get everything tell me in plenty of time and I will send more.
I would like for them to be pretty nice and I would like to get Mom and Dad something nice too so don’t hesitate to write me if I don’t send enough.
I’ve been doing pretty good at saving since I’ve been out here and I guess there won’t be many more Christmases. I will be able to get Mom a present as much as she’s been sick lately so I would like to be pretty well this time. Aline said she was trying to get me a watch but was having rather a difficult time finding one.
Will Bill I better stop for now. Write every chance you get.
Love,
Emer
